The Great Ponsonby Arthotel
We are a dynamic team made up of Gerry Hill and Sally James. We both have many years of experience in hospitality, specifically in New Zealand.
We established and ran "The Great Ponsonby Arthotel' which we recently sold after 23 years. It is situated in Ponsonby Auckland, based in a renovated villa with 12 rooms for guests to choose from.
Beautifully decorated with original New Zealand and Pacific Island artworks, filled with books, magazines, music and persian rugs, we created a “home” for our guests and a relaxed and welcoming environment.
We were proud to have achieved the Qualmark and Enviro Gold Award consistently every year. We were also awarded the 4.5 star in the bed & breakfast category.
We provided a real emphasis on personal service and a Kiwi experience. Guests encountered a friendly and convivial atmosphere when staying with us; whether its for a drink in the sitting room before heading out for a meal or during breakfast with fellow guests, there was always someone interesting to talk to.
